Every year, numerous women suffer from bladder infections. Some experience it for the first time, while many others suffer from this painful condition repeatedly. Bladder infections are relatively common, with around a quarter of all women suffering from them at least once in their lives. The condition begins with a slight pulling sensation in the lower abdomen. This is followed by extremely unpleasant symptoms, such as a burning sensation when urinating and abdominal pain. A typical bladder infection causes a constant urge to go to the toilet.
Most risk factors cannot be influenced, but a healthy immune system helps to prevent bladder problems. Many women rely on cranberries to protect themselves from unpleasant bladder infections.
The intensely red cranberries are rich in vitamin C, numerous minerals, and secondary plant substances known as proanthocyanidins (PACs).
